Thank you very much for the response!

I opened the preferences of course, but I must say the setting located in quite non-intuitive location. Why separate both the control amount and the logarithmic functionality in quite very different locations in the settings?



In addition, I am sorry, but it seems the actual algorithm is not stated in the documentation/unknown and an option absence to change the arguments to match the actual manipulator/control whether it's virtual/hardware MIDI/OS signals.

Dear Community and Developers,

Thank you for the marvelous project! ✨

May I ask, is there any logarithmic/exponential volume control AIMP plugin out there possibly not listed on the AIMP website?
To clarify, the plugin would allow to control volume not just by the constant percent set in settings, but depending on the current volume and configured exponent.

For instance (with exponent equal to 3.00):

• From original 99% to 97% (0.97 ^ 3)
• From original 95% to 85.7% (0.95 ^ 3)
• From original 90% to 72.9% (0.9 ^ 3)
• From original 80% to 51.2% (0.8 ^ 3)
• From original 70% to 34.3%
• From original 60% to 21.6%
• From original 50% to 12.5%
• From original 40% to 6.4%
• From original 30% to 2.7%
• From original 20% to 0.8%
• From original 10% to 0.1%

try to reinstall the app. it seems the scrobbler plugin is out of the list.

Dear... It worked! I've reinstalled using the UpdateInstaller.exe located in %AppData%. Freaking marvelous, and all the settings seems intact!

I probably know the reason it was missing. The scrobbler tray icon disappeared after an update (I guess). The tray icon is very important since there's no other option to "Love" a scrobbled online track I believe. So, I thought to re-install the plugin to have it fresh just in case the internal AIMP API changed and the plugin is now out-of-date (e.g. gets unloaded automatically even if enabled). I removed it and then tried to find it on the forum again, and here we are...

The scrobbler plugin is shipped with the app.

It's the latest version here installed (i.e. 5.30.2563), and it seems the plugin/feature has a different name in such case. Is that correct? May I ask where is it located?

Is there any option to scrobble from AIMP (both local and online)?

I am sorry, but just to clarify, is it expected that AIMP Windows 10 taskbar icon shows continuous "loading" animation/indication when listening to online streams? For example:



What might it be? Is it possible to disable the animation/indication?

So, I am sorry, but to clarify, considering someone moved my question from a separate new topic into this discussion which is marked "Solved" (yet it's not I believe), does it mean it will not be reviewed nor considered by the developers ever? In such case, I could try implementing this if I had the source code. Is the source of the plugin available publicly?

I am sorry, but this option, even if enabled, does not work since it seems it's impossible to rate a song during any online stream (e.g. "*.m3u" file), or am I mistaken? The tray icon button "Love" works, however, if pressed during an online play.

Thank you... Please accept the sincere appreciation for the awesome project! ✨

Is it possible to have "Love" and "Unlove" hotkeys to add/remove the currently playing song into the "Loved" at Last.fm?

It would be an immensely helpful feature! For example, it would allow to manage the loved songs in full-screen windows.
Not sure if a notification is required to be sure the hotkey worked or just a hotkey (e.g. "Song has been added to ❤️"), but dear I ask you to consider such just the keys.

There is a related topic Горячая клавиша для добавления трека в любимые out there, but no activity on the topic (marked "Solved" as of 2024-02-07) and no option to have such hotkey for online streams made me to create a new one hopefully to find out whether it's possible to have such a hotkey in the application or, well, forget it. The 5 stars rating does not affect the state online, too.

It's not open-source, isn't it? Thus, I hope you'll consider, please!

This magnificence is the only player I found convenient, wonderful, and reliable in Windows... and though I am rarely on Windows but Linux, on Linux there's another music player I currently listen to and love too, yet AIMP should allow for even more convenience, features, and opportunities in the underlying environment I believe! These two are two purely marvelous miracles in the infinite universe we know...

Please consider Patreon and/or Boosty (a Russian alternative if I am not mistaken considering the "sanctions"...)!

It's possible to state the runtime for Flatpak. These are shared between different apps. There are also features like deduplication.
For example, in case of Bottles:

We have strong links to other Free Software projects, including the Freedesktop project.

One of the main reasons is that Flatpak is highly likely to be installed than Wine on the most of the modern systems, and this allows to use AIMP without installing Wine in the main host. This also allows the development of AIMP to be focused on specific constant and stable runtime environment rather than on dynamic distribution.

Flatpak is supported by Red Hat.

The issue is that an installation of Wine just for a (still marvelous though...) Music Player is well... are you sure an installation of around 1.4 GB is sensible or adequate enough?

I don't have Wine and for around 10 years of Linux usage never had to install it even... yet when I try installing AIMP using the DEB, the following is shown obviously:

May I ask regarding Flatpak or AppImage... or have you considered those?

Just in case, Flatpak is more preferred than AppImage or Snap by some and is also mentioned at Debian:

AppImages contain only that the packager deemed necessary to run on distros they want to support. So it's not self-contained in the strict sense. Flatpaks, on the other hand, contain everything, up to glibc level, with most of stuff residing in the runtime which is shared between apps and needs to be downloaded only once.

Greetings! Indeed... It would allow to mark "Love" on Online/Internet radios...
I have tried adding hot-keys/short-cuts for all "User rating" options in the setting but no avail. Is it possible in such case?
