IZOT is the abbreviation of the Bulgarian association for the development and production of computers. The originality of this tape recorder lies not only in the fact that it uses a computer tape as a carrier, but also in the fact that this device was developed and assembled by one person (in 1986). The skin was ordered by the inventor's son. More detailed information is available in the forum topic (the "Discuss" button). |

The Caravella 203 stereo electrophone has been manufactured by the Kirov Ladoga Plant since 1982. A distinctive feature of the device was the vertical arrangement of the EPU, direct drive of the disc from an ultra-low-speed asynchronous motor with electronic speed stabilization, and a tangential tonearm with a specially designed piezoelectric head GZK-208, which surpassed its analogues in sound quality. The electrophone was equipped with original broadband trapezoidal acoustic systems.
In 1986, Ladoga began production of a new vertical model of the electric phone under the brand name "Corvette", which, after modernization in 1988, became known as "Corvette EF-248 S". The use of the GZM-205D magnetic pickup and three-band acoustics made it possible to expand the range of reproducible frequencies. Unlike its predecessor, it uses a rotary tonearm with azimuth correction. |
