I notice that the Analog Meter takes its signal measurement after any EQ/DSP/VST effects have been applied, often resulting in very high readings.  This can be seen by disabling/enabling the effects in real-time while the song is playing.

Is there a possibility to add the option to pass the signal to the meter BEFORE the effects are applied, but keeping their effects active on the audible sound?

AFAIK, the visualizations like spectrum analyzers embedded in some AIMP skins are also taking measurements after any or all DSP effects like EQ and bass boost, so I don't think it is possible for visualizations to take measurement before all of DSPs in the playback chain, or is it?

Also, most if not all VU meter skins for AIMP could also be loaded into foobar2000 once oops' foo_vis_vumeter introduces AIMP skin support, but right now, it is not supported just yet for foobar2000 community

Мой вариант AIMP 2 Analog Meter. Не для полноэкранного режима. Делалось для себя, как дополнение к скину Euphoria, для большей аутентичности. Та версия что выкладывалась раньше, мне не понравилась.

Please add an option to create and specify a path to the aimp_analogMeter skin folder elsewhere on the PC.  This would provide shared usage of a single skins folder for other players that use plugins compatible with AIMP meter skins, like Foobar and MusicBee.

The new 64-bit re-write of foo_vis_vumeter supports all of them (and BIN of course):

MusicBee's VUMeter 2.5.1 also does:

Thanks for the info! I used Junction 1.07 from Sysinternals (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/junction) to easily replace the Skins folder with a symlink version pointed to a shared folder of skins on another drive.

One problem is that AIMP's viz choice menu cannot display collapsed subfolders--it will instead list every skin in the subfolder with a subfolder prefix, which leads to a very "cluttered" menu display.  It will however show any compatible skin chosen.
