Playlists and Playlist Window

Sorry for another question from this noob....

I am so completely baffled over the whole playlist aspect of AIMP.  I almost don't even know what to ask but I'll try.

1. It seems like every time I just want to play a song from my library it automatically creates a playlist for every single song for that artist.  I don't want playlists for everything I play.  Can I turn this off? 

2. If I can't turn this off then will I end up with a gajillion playlists in my library files/folder?

3. If it IS going to create all these playlists then how can I get it to only put the songs I want in it instead of getting everything by an artist?

4. I am not grasping this whole "Default" and "Local Files" tabs in the playlist window.  What is the difference between the two?

Options / Player / Music Library / Default Action. If I understand correctly you need "play selected"
