AIMP 5.40.2689 Portable, 64-bit

To give you an example of how adding an encoder is done, I have attached a format converter for Helix MP3 (hmp3.exe).  This is the latest version 5.2.4 from May 31, 2024, 64-bit.

This is an alternative mp3 encoder with an extended high end and other small quality improvements.  I provided only one "preset" option, for highest quality (about the equivalent of Lame using V0), but you can add more using the .xml file as a guide.

To Install:  With AIMP closed, manually unzip the folder "enc_helix", which is inside the attached .7z file, directly into the AIMP "Plugins" folder.  Do NOT try to add it with the plugins "Install" option in Preferences.

Start AIMP.  Go to Utilities->Audio Converter, and select "Helix MP3" from the Format choices.
