Good day,

I was looking for a way to edit the color used by AIMP to shade its window in Android Auto? It seems to not be tied to any configuration option in the player, nor tied to the skin theme used?

Currently it is black with a shade to dark blue around the center area.

PS: sorry, I posted in the window's subforum rather than Android's, and I don't see an option to delete this post to repost it there...

The main menu, the one where you get a list with all your playlists, has an X on the right of each line, used to delete the playlist.

I want to change it, since deleting the playlist is something I don't use much. Looking around, I see that this isn't part of the AIMP settings, but it can be modified through the skin directly.

The X button is linked to "navigator.tab.action.delete", and that's why pressing it deletes the playlist. By changing the comment on the button, as well as the glyph image, one can change the behaviour of this button. However...

Where can I find a listing of available actions? So I can do stuff like navigator.tab.action.play or something else?

I can't figure out how to mention your name. I sent a PM with the information, but the size limit is 20k characters, so I had to cut off a lot of the log. Here I attach it in its entirety.

Timestamp 26/12/2023 02:10:19.612 is when I pressed next (track change from "Prologue of Fate" into "Followers of Darkness").
Timestamp 26/12/2023 02:10:24.073 is when AIMP skips to the next (track change from "Followers of Darkness" into "Baljhet Mountains").

I use 18 seconds as crossfade configuration.

Currently, AIMP saves the last played song for each playlist, I would like a way to make it play from the beginning when switching playlists.

Options to make this work:
A. Gesture command for "go to first track of playlist"
B. Setting to decide if playlist position is saved on playlist change (would change the playlist's menu entry "Resume playback" to "Start playback")

Entering a playlist, scrolling up, and clicking the first track is too cumbersome when my playlists have over a thousand files.
What I do, for now, is saving a bookmark with the first track of the playlist, but I had to do this for like a dozen playlists.

That.... wasn't the bug I was talking about.
Okay, yes, it's something AIMP lacks, but I was talking about this other bug:

1. Press "next song"
2. AIMP skips "two" tracks, instead of one.

That one is still a bug that needs fixing. Do I open a new thread to address it?

Example, queue:
Song A: 2:00 duration
Song B: 2:00 duration
Song C: 2:00 duration
Crossfade value: 10 seconds.

How to trigger:
Press "Next" song on time 1:45 of the Song A while playing, and this happens:

1:45: Song B starts playing (fade in), Song A starts fading out.
1:50: Song A's audio is cut, Song B starts fading out, Song C starts fading in.
2:00: Song B's fade out finishes, Song C is playing at full volume

Expected result:

1:45: Song B starts playing (fade in), Song A starts fading out.
1:55: Song A's fade out finishes, Song B is playing at full volume.

My device: Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S, MIUI 14.0.3 Global.

Android has ways to report/query the current playing track (eg: using Automate, "Media Playing?" block, retrieves current playback position, song title, artist, song length).

If I query this information during the crossfade time, AIMP reports the data of the song which is finishing, rather than the one starting to play.

Song A [2 Minutes] -> Song B [2 Minutes]
If crossfade = 10 seconds, and I ask this information at time 1:55 of Song A, AIMP returns: Title A, Time A, etc.
When it's more practical to return (eg: display the new track title playing): Title B, Time B, etc.


My device: Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S, MIUI 14.0.3 Global.
