I just wanted to suggest this feature to be optional to turn on/off columns in playlist. Because currently it is impossible to organize all informations in one line to look nice.
I know there is second line with information about file, but what if we wish to save vertical space and show those in the same line like this? I tried to achieve that in settings (copied part of file info to 1st line), but here it how it looks:
As you can see, there is problem to align properly codec and bitrate info for example. So dedicated colums will solve this problem. Here is screenshot from my foobar where I organized everythong by tabs and there are also shown groups as you can see:
Group texts (blue color on screenshot) doesn't fallow column headers, that is important tip.
Long story short, I suggest only adding permanent columns, not when playlist is resized. Why complicate things? Just make it to be optional of playlist settings like:
[ ] Show column headers in playlist
And also one more thing. Configuration of columns would be nice. Right click on column in foobar displays this context menu and that can be useful to configure spcific columns:
I know that is not easy task and there is a lot of programming needed, but that is something what will drastically improve playlist GUI of AIMP player.

« on: January 07, 2022, 13:16:23 »No, I think it should not. The action is "add to playback queue". This behavior was introduced in winamp and we still keep it for UX compatibility.
Adding possibility to customize middle click will not break compatibility, because default action for queue will stay as it is.
Adding possibility to customize something is good thing, not bad
Because AIMP is better than winamp, so why we should follow blindly something which is obsolete...

I think that middle click on track from playlist should be optional in setting, for the user to be able to choose arbitrary action like: "file folder", "file info", "copy to clipboard", etc.
Currently that middle click action is hard-coded set next playing track.
That "set next playing track" can be default action for users who are already accustomed to such behavior of middle click.

This can be optional as in A4 skin, so the user can arrange playlist (and library) as he wants. But many of us doesn't use library at all.
For example I just use playlists view with many playlists and it is much more organized if title of playlists are displayed from the left or from the right, but not on top.
Here is what I mean:

This is best skin so far. I like the look and very useful optional set placement of playlist tabs (titles) to be from left or from right of the playlist. That feature should be added to default skin also.
