Hi
just downloaded the last version for android
I used to turn off aimp for android ,I have the option to kill an application , and when i start it again i get a warning
Background playback (6)
it seems like the app was previously killed by OS
Turn off the battery saving to prevernt Aimp from closing while its playing in background (when is off or while other apps are using)
or may i know in what/which version have been introduced?
thanks

Why you kill the app instead of close it?

Do not kill the app during playback, it may lead app to corrupt files that has opened descriptors.

hi
but often close aimp android it's hard to close it
but killing aimp in aimp_4.02.1368 it 's not a problem at all , and it used to resume playing music after i kill it and restart aimp
i'm keeping using 4.02.1368
but it's so hard to add an option to skip this warning in the preferences
thanks

Why? Just close "X" or "Exit", or pause the player before killing
but it's so hard to add an option to skip this warning in the preferences
Yes, just because I was added this warning as reaction on playlists corruption and an issues with playback in background.

I had already criticized this behavior because I don't see the point behind it (https://www.aimp.ru/forum/index.php?topic=71794.msg440265#msg440265). For a pure audio player without a telephone function and where there is no other open application, such a message makes no sense. For my device, AIMP is of the opinion that activating battery optimization can cause problems. I would also be in favor of version 4.05. The monitoring introduced can be switched off.

Just do that app requests.

Unfortunately, I cannot detect on my side if app was killed by user or by OS. But if OS kill app by itself (during optimization or something else), user must be informed why app was (abnormal) stopped during playback and what it can do to resolve this issue.
-
There is no other app open. I start AIMP normally from the interface and after AIMP loads, before I tap play, this notice appears. I have to click away from this notice, then I start playing. AIMP is neither terminated during this process nor are any other processes observed. The music also plays normally. As already said, this only happens from version 4.05 and is just annoying.

But... how you close the app after playing?
-
Which App? I close the window with the hint by tapping on the cross in it. And with AIMP itself, mostly I stop playback as normal using the controls, reduce the size of the start page by tapping on the square at the bottom of the screen and then also close it using the cross. Or after stopping playback, I could also select the menu and then tap Quit, which is actually the same reaction, isn't it?

Hi Artem
but this is the suggestions sub forum , it should be a request sub forum
should i open another topic?
just to avoid double posting
thanks Artem

Refer to the "About" dialog of the app, and check the "enable logging" option. Restart the app. Now, reproduce an issue and send the log file to me. Please, report to me a approximate time when issue was happened.
-
I will activate logging after installing the next final version 4.05. But what I found out after your question about how to close AIMP is that if I tap on the cross to close the AIMP window, then AIMP is properly closed and no longer active. But if I go to the labeled "Exit" field in the menu bar, then AIMP remains active in the background even though the window is closed. You can see the difference in System Settings/Apps and Permissions/AIMP as to whether the "Force Quit" field is active or not. If the "Exit" field in AIMP is supposedly better for program functionality, why wasn't it placed on the home page for direct access?

why wasn't it placed on the home page for direct access?
It placed in app widget.

iBasso DX160, Android 8.1:
The message "Background playback
it seems like the app was previously killed by OS
Turn off the battery saving to prevernt Aimp from closing while its playing in background (when is off or while other apps are using)"
no longer occurs since installing version 4.05.1398, good job. This means I can still close AIMP by tapping the exit cross without it remaining in memory.

i keep to use version 4.02.1368 just because it's the only version that doesn't give any warning when i kill the application
thanks

No, because in this case it may lead to playlists corruption

hi
ok ,but could be added a easy button to close the application ?
just because enter always in the menu and tap exit it's not handy
is there a gesture ?
thanks

@drugo
I had always hoped that newer versions would also stop this strange behavior. Actually, I haven't changed the operation of AIMP for Android and the Android settings are still the same as when I had the same problems. I stop playing the music, shrink the window, wait for the playback path icon, usually headphones, to disappear and exit AIMP by clicking the cross in the window. I'm currently using version AIMP 4.10.1422, but I didn't have any problems with previous versions after 4.05.1398.

I am using the close button in widget

I think that user MUST know that app was abnormally terminated, because I'm tired to answer the emails about losing songs in playlists

hi Artem and Rfx9123
in the last version there is
Application may works incorrectly on devices based on MIUI firmware
i think could be the case
yes i know but on some phones ,it works just like you close an application
thanks
-
@Artem
I understand if questions like these cause you frustration. That's why I tried to describe exactly how I proceeded. In any case, I no longer saw such a message from version 4.10.xx.
As I stated above, I use AIMP on a pure audio player and this means that I don't need to use the widget. In addition to the additional app for an internet radio player, it is the only music playback app for me.

Hi Artem
I have updated to the last version
it was enough to set the aimp under Battery Optimization -> Unrestricted
and it works perfectly
tested on several phones ,just want to share to for some others users
thanks
