I have a playlist of almost a 1000 songs, and every time i add a new music file to the playlist folder i have to update the entire playlist, and it takes very long because it has to process the id3 tags of every single song. This is a waste of time since all the other files did not change at all.
What i suggest is a new refresh option, call it "Fast Refresh", what it does is iterate over all files in the folder, but it just loads the new added files, by having a list of the current files, scaning the folder, and comparing the difference, then you just have to load the new files.

But app already does it as your described. App doesn't load meta for already added files if it timestamp and size was not changed since latest update

Well, i don't know then, but it takes around 2 minutes to refresh a 812 songs playlist and the time increases together with the file count.
