When I have a few thousands of playlists in the folder the playlist manager / Aimp responses very slowly, if I remember it right.

How should one best use the Playlist Manager?
Why? Why is it available then?

Yes, just keep your playlists in Playlist Manager.
As I see, you using AIMP in patter of Winamp use case.
AIMP designed to don't care have you save changes or not - it will save all automatically by itself.
So, if you have some performance issues in Playlist Manager, lets deal with it.
Yes, I understand, but handling playlists that way seems to be quite uncomfortable. The manager appears to be quite uncomfortable to use as well.
Could Aimp save the playlists automatically in the album folders
