Broken sound specific headphones only in AIMP

Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit

When using my Corsair Void Pro headphones (USB connection), I have certain sound problems. These headphones have dolby virtual surround sound. This "feature" can be enabled/disabled.
1. When it is disabled, the volume control in AIMP doesn't do anything past 30% besides making whatever I am listening to sound as if someone is playing with the volume knob going min max min max all the time. In this case the 30% volume correspond in loudness to winamp's 100%.
2. When it is enabled, going past 30% is louder but it introduces major crackling, popping, distortion etc. the nearer I am to 100%, regardless of windows volume, so it can be very quiet but still crack and pop and so on. Again 30% corresponds to like 100% in winamp.

In other players such as winamp and youtube, these problems do not exist. When using my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (connected via 3.5mm) I have no problems with AIMP, volume works properly, sound is clear. And AIMP's volume corresponds 1:1 with winamp's.

AIMP is using pretty much its default playback settings, I have only disabled any fading/cross-mixing effects on volume, changing songs, play/stop etc. Windows is runnign the latest version, I tried the usual restart AIMP, restart PC, plug the headphones in a different USB. Corsair have their own iCue software for managing all the corsair devices that are connected. I tried using the headphones on a PC without iCue and there are no problems with AIMP. So I can conclude this is some kind of a conflict between AIMP and Corsair's iCue. Just exiting iCue doesn't help at all. Also when iCue is installed, when accessing the headphones properties from sounds > playback devices. A lot of the options are not there or greyed out such as sound quality and effects.
