Question/Bug about Lyrics (build 2236, portable)

1) BUG (I think): The Advanced Tag Editor (AIMPate) will not find *most* of the lyrics even with correct filenames and tags, but the regular Tag Editor will.




2) QUESTION: Is there any way to display in the Playlist if a file has lyrics? (IF lyrics exist, then show a character/symbol). The way I currently achieve this is by selecting all the files with lyrics and then add the symbol "*" to the Lyricist field, then I display the Lyricist. It works but it is not optimal.

+1 for this.  For example,  allow an entry like the below in Prefs/Playlist/Content View/Format Settings to produce the desired symbol (in this case "L") if the file has embedded lyrics:

%FileFormat :: %SampleRate, %BitRate, %FileSize %IF(%Lyrics,(L),)

This DOES work in Prefs/Interface/Displaying Data/Templates for Static Labels in the Player body display info, just not in a playlist.

QUESTION: Is there any way to display in the Playlist if a file has lyrics?

In my case, I'm using the Analogue skin, which has an indicator if a tracks contains lyrics.

Isn't the image showing a file playing in the player body?  The OP was asking about showing such an indicator for files listed in a Playlist window, whether the file is actually being played or not.

ᛤᚤᛠᛥⴲ, sveakul, thanks for the suggestions. Because of how I use filters and generally how I go through songs, being able to see if a file in the current playlist has lyrics would be great.

I tried this and it worked as mentioned (in the body). It will be useful to identify songs that DO HAVE lyrics but haven't been marked as such (%Lyricist field empty).
