Newest stable portable Aimp - Windows 10
When I add more than about 150.000 e.g. 200.000 or 250.000 tracks to the database Aimp does not work properly anymore, it very often fades to grey, "No response" is shown then, no access for about half a minute or a minute or even longer. Even with 150.000 files in the library it behaves (not as often and long) like described above. Is there a way to avoid that without decreasing the amount of tracks added to the database?
Splitting the database / tracks and using 2 Aimps (or even more) with the splitted databases to get 500.000 or 1.000.000 tracks in the database(s) would be very inconvenient, I guess. So might there be another method to handle more than 150.000 tracks with Aimp?

I have tested player with 250 000 on SSD - it works properly as it can works with so huge dataset. Of course, performance of app will depended from dataset size and performance of your PC.

I have stored the music on external hard drives (3, 4, 5, 8 TB etc.) not on SSDs.
So there is nothing I could do?
