Fade-out at a any time

I'm using the AIMP-player in a small theater. There is often a need for fading-out a 'song' at a given keyword. It could be done manually using a slider, but it's very inconvenient, when at the same time other actions should happen e.g. the light should be manipulated. It would very helpful, if this functionality could be started by a hot key. (or a button in the skin). Exist such a functionality or exist plugins or scripts to implement such a feature?
