Best way / where to store playlists?

What is the best location to store the playlists? Each playlist in the album folder to which it belongs or separately, in one single folder or anything else?

By default they end up in your AIMP's ..\profile\PLS folder.  To me it's easy enough just to make an occasional copy of that folder ("PLS") and back it up elsewhere, that way all your playlists can be found easily.  Actually, because I use the portable version of AIMP, I regularly backup the entire AIMP folder to another drive, so I can restore the whole app playlists and all in a jiffy no matter how screwed up things get--encourages experimenting!

Yes, refering to backing up / restoring it is a good way to to it that way, I use the portable version either.

But, I meant to quickly / easily access playlists / music and to manage one's music and such, what is the best way to do it, how to store the playlists?

Well, you can store the playlists anywhere you want and change their format/layout settings anyway you want using the Playlist Manager--the "Managing Playlists" menu choice when you hit the Playlist Management button in the lower right corner.  And from same button load/create/close/export etc.  Not sure why you would need any more functionality for playlists.

As far as "managing music" as opposed to playlists, that's best served as a Library function and a library expert (which I am not) can probably help you there if you have specific things you are trying to do with your files--better to start a new topic specifically for that.

The best way is the one YOU as a user find the most convenient/safe/usable.  For me personally, that's keeping them all in the "PLS" folder AIMP puts them in by default.
