Hello!

As far as I can remember, there is not such a list in the forum. I am not completely sure though. I can not even remember another DSP plugin beyond this one.

By the way, this DSP Enhancer plugin was originally developed to work with WinAmp. Since AIMP is compatible with a bunch of WinAmp plugins, it turns out the DSP Enhancer plugin works just fine with AIMP. You could try another WinAmp DSP plugins to find out if they work with AIMP.

Ha, yeah, it has been designed for WinAmp, that is why it looks so old. If you hear distorted audio, try to keep the Volume slider of the plugin up to 4 or less. You will have to play a lot with this plugin by listening to different tracks and trying different values por each slider with this plugin enabled until you find the optimal setting for your listening pleasure.

Then, if you are going to test other WinAmp DSP plugins, have in mind that the WinAmp Heritage website is designed in a weird fashion: its menues are kind of backwards. So, visit the last DSP webpage [which it is the first one actually] and click on the maroon ">" button to browse to other DSP webpages.

If you find any DSP plugin that worth testing, please, let us know!

Yes, I had tried. The slider obviously moves automatically, do not know, why that is.

The slider obviously moves automatically, do not know, why that is.

This happens because the Volume slider uses an in fly normalization feature. It means it tries to pump up the volume as much as possible in real time. The problem with this in fly normalization is that causes an annoying sensation, because the audio increases too much in calm moments and decreases suddenly if the audio intensity is higher. So, to override this real time normalization, you can set the Volume slider to a low level, like 3, 4 or 5 and the slider will move up to that level only.

Only a preset of Aimp is active. I have all of the sliders on the left side, the distortion goes on, sounds very strange.

As you can see I have set the Volume slider with a maximum value of 5 and this plugin have limited itself right now to a value of 3 to avoid any distortion. I am listening to the music and I can not hear any distortion at all, despite if I have enabled or not the Boost button.

That pop up window appears to me only when I click on the DSP Manager's Preferences button of AIMP. It appears every time I click on that button, but no more than 1 window at the time.

I am on Windows 10 by the way. I do not know if this plugin —or even AIMP— has a different behavior on other operating systems. Could you AIMP profile be broken? I can not understand why you still hear distortions.

Yes, I have tried your settings, it keeps staying the same. And I have even disabled booster and power. And, o obviously one cannot avoid that normalization function.

Yes, with each click on the Preferences button it appears, very ennoying. At the moment I cannot do any setting anymore in that main window, no slider moves, any idea why.

I would say, the profile looks good, may be there is any setting (may be the equalizer causing more output or so) in Aimp which makes the plug in cause the distortion. I do not have any clue. Better I will not use that plug in anymore.

I highly recommend like a 10 band parametric equalizer, especially if your speakers are on the small side.  Also there is an old winamp dsp plug-in called "compressor and wider"  by this guy named Pesch.  just google "pesch" for his website and look around.  It is very good.  The best feature, imo, is setting the perceived "width" of the playback space (the distance between the two speakers) to greater than the actual physical distance (or less, I suppose).
