Dear @Artem i have news, it seems that the high CPU in the latest aimp 2344 is related to intel Xe graphics with the latest drivers. Can you take a look, i don´t know what´s happening. Thanks

Core i7 6700k with intel HD530 CPU Usage (drivers 101.1069):
-Aimp5: 1,8%
-Desktop window administration: 1,6%

Core i7 1165G7 with intel Xe CPU usage (drivers 100.8853):
-Aimp5: 1,5%
-Desktop window administration: not appearing.

Core i7 1165G7 with intel Xe CPU usage (drivers 101.1069):
-Aimp5: 4,1%
-Desktop window administration: 2,9%.

Could you be running into the Intel graphics memory leak affecting Desktop Windows Manager described here?: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058381/graphics/graphics-for-8th-generation-intel-processors.html

I don´t know, but i´m using my laptop with 11th gen...

With the latest buld 2342 i can´t say a % because it´s changing all the time.

What i have noticed is that you split the CPU usage in another process called Desktop window administration, so the overall CPU usage is still high, even worse than the last release.

Updated results with Core i7 6700k, AIMP 5 build 2338:

AIMP 5 Modern UI with W11 UI, with Spectrum:5-8% CPU

AIMP 5 Modern UI without W11 UI, with Spectrum: 1,6-2,6% CPU

AIMP 5 Modern UI without W11 UI, without Spectrum: 0,8-1,3% CPU

AIMP 5 minimized: 0,8-1,3% CPU

I think i can live without w11 UI, too much cpu wasted.

Can you reduce CPU rendering the UI with GPU? I´m asking from ignorance. Thanks

Hi jlmcr87, you could be looking for this setting:
Preferences -> Interface -> Skins -> Skins -> Show spectrum visualisation for playing file

Turning off visualisation reduced my CPU usage from 25% to 7.5%.
Turning off Windows 11 style as suggested by Artem reduced it further to 2.5%.

My CPU is an old i5-4690, however.

I have tried your suggestions with the following results:

This time with a Core i7 6700k, AIMP 5 build 2334:

AIMP 5 Modern UI with W11 UI, with Spectrum:10-11% CPU

AIMP 5 Modern UI without W11 UI, with Spectrum: 4% CPU

AIMP 5 Modern UI without W11 UI, without Spectrum: 2% CPU

AIMP 5 Clasic UI: 2% CPU

AIMP 5 minimized: 1% CPU

Can you do something to reduce CPU usage? Specially with the W11 UI option. Thanks @Artem

Hi. AIMP 5 with Modern UI uses near 20% of my CPU, core i7 1165G7 (playing a Flac file).
I think It is due to the sound animation.

Can you make an option to hide this animation to reduce CPU usage?

AIMP 5 Modern UI:15-20% CPU

AIMP 5 Clasic UI: 5% CPU

AIMP 5 minimized: 0,8% CPU

1) We have published v4.50 Beta that already adapted for high-dpi systems
2) Yes, we will implement an ability to specify target DPI manually in Beta 2.

Finally! Now the text is clear! I only find a little bug in the beta 3. A cut text here (See attached image):

Thank you for the information. Looks like these new features will slow down the implementation of this feature, because, now I should implement new mode support too. Amazing...

The same problem as before and if you manually apply the compatibility mode, aimp4 appears very small in the screen.

Hello Artem, I think you can do this:

-Adapt AIMP4 and the default skin to High dpi.

-Create a setting that forces the old dpi mode to be compatible with all the skins.

Thanks for your response and for your program, i use it all days to play flac files.

Aimp4, 2016, and still no hi-dpi interface(most of the programs have it). Looks blurry on windows 10  with high resolution monitors.

Yes i´m using that since windows 10 launch. But the problem is that aimp3 looks too small. So are you going to make aimp dpi aware in a future release? Thanks

I´m using windows 10 at 1920x1080. To see the things bigger i set the configuration to 125%. With that aimp3 is displayed a little blurry. Can you make it dpi aware? Thanks
