Hello!

This would solve at least two scenarios:

• Less clicks needed. It translates to a quicker way to reach both the equalizer main window AND the equalizer presets dropdown menu.
• Less popup dialogs. It translates to less use of screen, because it would use one window only. This is especially important for netbooks and mid end laptops.

And, since EQ presets and the equalizer itself are closely related, then I think it would be an elegant solution to have them both in just one window.

EDIT:
By the way, The Sound Effects window (Ctrl + E) has 5 tabs: Sound Effects, Equalizer, Volume, Mixing, and Remove Silence. The Presets popup dialog is the only extra window in all of these five tabs. I think this is another reason why it should be merged within the Equalizer tab.

Hello all,

This is the Sound Effects (Ctrl + E) > Equalizer window with the Presets dialog popup in the right side.


I would like to suggest if the Presets menu could be added into the Equalizer window. I think it would be more convenient to use it this way, instead of clicking and opening several dialog popups. I think it would be a nice change for upcoming AIMP5 as well.

Look at quick search field.

The problem the original poster is talking about has happened several times, as far as I remember. I mean, some users couldn't realize they entered some characters in the search field.

So, if technically possible, I would like to suggest a new feature for any future AIMP release: when an user enters something in the search field, the search field should be highlighted and keep that way until the user cleans it.

What do you think about this, Artem?

Yup, that did the trick.

Actually, in a normal situation you should not need to do that each time you load a folder or an album to the player's playlist. Read below if that is your case.

By the way, I do not have: %Format(00,%TrackNumber) as shown in your screenshot.  What does that do?

%Format(00,%TrackNumber) forces files to be sorted by ascending tracks, treating them as in 2 digits, if filenames include 1 digit for the first 9 tracks.

So, instead of ordering:

• 1. Track 1.mp3
• 10. Track 10.mp3
• 11. Track 11.mp3
• 12. Track 12.mp3
• 2. Track 2.mp3
• 3. Track 3.mp3
• [Etc]

It orders as:

• 1. Track 1.mp3
• 2. Track 2.mp3
• 3. Track 3.mp3
• […]
• 9. Track 9.mp3
• 10. Track 10.mp3
• 11. Track 11.mp3
• [Etc]

If you don't want to have filenames named like that, you can use %Format(00,%tn). %Title in the Advanced Tag Editor to easily rename filenames to always have 2 digits, like this:

the cover art does not appear in the middle section of my screenshot.

About the covert art:

• Is it a perfect square? For instance: 300x300 px, 400x400 px, 500x500 px, 650x650 px, 714x714 px, etc
• Has it ".jpg" extension?
• Its filesize is under 200 KB?

what is the 3rd column on the far right side used for?

It's the column for playlist tabs.

Also, does AIMP have the ability to attach cover art to MP3 files?

Yes, with the Advanced Tag Editor utility (Ctrl+T), or the regular Tag Editor (in the playlist column, select the files you want to edit and hit F4).

I have bought a lot of AIFF files from Beatport and never have had an issue when playing them in AIMP. All tags are shown okay.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The YouTube plugin for AIMP is for streaming, not for download the audio from YT videos.

And yes, you can use this plugin without signing in YT. Just click on the "+" button in AIMP and select YouTube URL.

Hello,

I would like to suggest one thing to developers, as for AIMP for Windows as for AIMP for Android.

• A new preset for low bitrate streaming music radiostations
• A new preset for low bitrate streaming vocal/speech radiostations

As you know, there is still a lot of radio stations which broadcast using low quality streamings. Most of these stations broadcasts music, but some are only vocal or speech, as political debate shows or sports transmissions. So, I would like developers to add these two new presets for an optimal listening experience, even when listening to low bit-rate radio stations.
