It seems the installer is corrupted.
I recommend to use official packages for Linux instead of Windows one: https://www.aimp.ru/?do=download&os=linux

Ok, I uninstalled the exe and installed the AUR Package. The reason why I didn't use the AUR Package is because there are sometimes problems building. I don't like it much but it's true that it's a must have in arch distros.

I can't update AIMP with the last version aimp_5.40.2652_w64.exe. It gives me an error that I have attached as a png. I have tried an older one and it works.
Wine 9.22 and Manjaro KDE all updated.

Yes, I hope I will find solution

After resetting all desktop effects, the window focus seems to work perfectly. But I still have problems after maximising the player.

Аналогичная проблема - драг-н-дроп внутри плейлиста не работает (извне в плейлист трек можно добавить без проблем), очень хочется решение.
Наблюдается и в инсталлированной в вайне версии 5.10, и в портбл.
Debian 10, MATE
Wine 32 4.0

Deb 64, увы, поставить не могу - ноут диджейский старенький, 32-битный...

Drag and Drop working in last version. Thanks Artem. Unfortunately the focus problem persists. As I said before I think is a wine problem but I don't know if there is a possible solution.

I installed aimp_5.10.2417_w64.exe directly from the .exe. I have recorded a video of the windows behaviour with respect to the focus problem. It could be a Wine problem.

I am using Manjaro KDE updated to the latest version and wine 7.22. There is no difference installing the .deb package from AUR.

Заметил вот ещё что: примагничивание окна происходит не к самому краю экрана, а с зазорами по всем сторонам.

AIMP 5.10.2414 (.deb)
OS: Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon
Wine 6.0.3 (стандартная конфигурация), версия Windows 7 или Windows 10 в Wine - ситуация одинаковая.

Нет возможности переключиться на другие окна системы, AIMP на переднем плане постоянно, только через "промежуточные" окна переключение происходит (см. видео в прикрепленном файле).

ps: Пока записывал видео, заметил что фокус окна плеера перескакивает на передний план при наведении курсора мыши на кнопки "свернуть", "развернуть", "закрыть"

More or less what happens to me. It's annoying when you're working and you have to switch from one window to another. I've tested it by installing the .deb as well (via AUR in Manjaro). The result was the same.

First of all thank you for taking into consideration Linux users. There is no music player that could be compared to AIMP in Linux.

I have always used AIMP installing the 64 bits exe through wine and it works. But there are certain bugs like:

- I can't change the order in a playlist using drag and drop.
- There are some problems with focus when I am using several programs at the same time. Maybe it is about the composer. When I change from AIMP to Firefox while playing music, AIMP stay on top and I can't click anywhere in Firefox.
- When AIMP is in full screen (maximised), I can see the desktop through the borders.

This issues has happened to me using different distros and wine versions.

Now I am using the latest Manjaro KDE and Wine 7.19. Since the latest builds I can't use it maximised. AIMP UI starts flashing and all get stuck until I restore it to a smaller size.

I am delighted that we have this discussion in this forum. This means that there are a few of us crazy people who are not satisfied with GNU/Linux audio players. For most people they are valid but for those of us who have tried AIMP there is no other like it.

It is clear that Windows is the most used system on the planet, but this does not mean that in the future it will be. Maybe the system that could replace it has not been published yet or maybe it will be a variant of the ones we use now and the developers that want to be there will have to port their programs. It is also true that many successful programs are multiplatform.

What I mean is that, looking at it from this point of view, it would be a good option to port AIMP to other operating systems (as has been done with Android). There are lots of people waiting for AIMP to use it on Mac or any GNU/Linux distro.

Maybe a way to make this dream come true would be to reach an agreement with some distro to port it and include it in it. This distro would gain a lot of points for audiophiles and the community would benefit from it.

I currently use AIMP through WINE. It works but some functions give error and even reporting it to the WINE team have not been corrected. That is why I would beg the AIMP developer (I know he has said it is not part of his plans) or developers to port it.

I am not a developer but I would help in any way I can. Thanks in advance.
