Installing the Control Plugin for version 4, build 1687
Download the plugin, and unzip the executable somewhere.
With the main AIMP.exe shut down, run the control plugin setup.exe file, but be sure to install the application to the Plugins directory in your existing AIMP application folder, alongside all the other plugins.
This seems a bit counterintuitive, but that's the way it works.
Once the application has been installed, you'll find the Control Plugin folder there too. Among other files, that folder will contain Control Plugin.dll, and a subdirectory called SettingsManager.
Restart AIMP.exe, and navigate to the plugins directory within the application or preferences menu. You should see Control Plugin listed there, which confirms correct installation.
You may also want to return to the SettingsManager folder and run SettingsManager.exe to configure the IP address & connection.
Note that you may get a request to allow the connection through the firewall. You may need to add an exception manually in your firewall whitelist dialogue.
Once running, the plugin essentially starts a server, and a web page at an address like localhost:3333.
