Title: Skin action for crossfade feature.
Post by: sadur on April 18, 2023, 19:23:43
Hello.

Thanks for this great audio player, I love it!

It would be nice to have an action on the skin to enable/disable the crossfade feature via a button.

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

Sadur.

The single switch that enables/disables all crossfading is placed in DSP Manager window.

Yes, there it is, but what I'm asking for is the ability to add it into a button on the skin for quick access.

What is your scenario? Please, can you explain it in more details?

Of course, sorry.

I like to listen to records and also pre-generated playlists with "similar" songs.
When I listen to an album, I want to turn off the crossfade to get the original album experience.
When I listen to a playlist, I like the crossfade between songs.
What I would like is to enable/disable crossfade from the player window with a single click/tap, without going through the 5 steps to enable/disable from the settings screen.

Thank you for your interest.

Ok, thanks. I will add an option to context menu of play button in next version. Just for now, you can use hotkey for "crossfade: on / off" action

Thanks for considering my request. By the way, I don't know what you mean with "...you can use hotkey for...", which hotkey?.

Which you specify. Refer to app settings / player / hotkeys. Now, search the "crossfade" command

Maybe there's a misunderstood, in my player on android there's no such option on settings, the most similar options are on app settings / Control / Gestures, but the crossfade command doesn't appear on the list of available actions.

I've tested the new feature on AIMP 4 beta, with the context menu long-pressing the sound effects button.
For me is enough, it covers what I'm looking for, thank you!
