Title: [+] Problem with titles on Radio stations
Post by: Mladenmt on December 23, 2022, 03:20:07
Hallo...
Since the last few updates there's been a problem with naming of the Radio stations (RDS).
Namely, when the Playlist is LOCKED FROM CHANGES, the title doesn't change, doesn't follow the title in main window, so they are different.

Somewhere it was mentioned that this was bad behavior of the program and it was fixed.

Unfortunatelly there is still the bug.
As I recall, it showed up with the update where PIN WINDOW POSITION has been introduced.

Think in a different direction. A playlist blocked from changes should not change. What happened before (changing the playlist) can be called a bug.

I agree, it was like that before, but the Radio stations followed the RDS (radio data system). That is not a bug, that is how things should work.

The way it used to be, was a bug? And now it's fixed?
I liked it the way it was before. It's not like the playlist really changed before. After a restarted, the playlist only showed the station name again.
As a comparison, I've added two screenshots (both with the latest Aimp-Version):
- the variant with locked playlist, where the track information ain't available in the "tags"
- and the variant with unlocked playlist, where the info is available in the "tags" (the way it always used to be) and can be easily copied for research (which can be useful for a non korean in case of korean writing ;))
The bug was fixed with 5.10? Then I maybe install a previous version.

Как я обозначил, писал на основе своих воспоминаний.

Yes, this is correct behavior. Locked playlist MUST NOT change it content in any cases.

Thanks. I didn't know this option. It's even more comfortable than copying from the tag.

Understandable, but I think this is the only one case when the title changing should be allowed (not by user, but automatically by Radio Data System). If not, what is the purpose of RDS which is provided by radio stations?
