Title: how to ignore folders
Post by: d4rt on December 05, 2022, 19:25:15
Is it possible to exclude a subdirectory from the search when adding new files to the media library, like creating a .nomedia file in that dir?

Yes, just "uncheck" required folder when selecting the folders to index

Ok, but suppose you had one main folder. Instead of checking all subfolders one by one except the one you don't want indexed you could just add the main folder with 'sub-folders' checked and let aimp do the work for you ignoring every folder that has a .nomedia file in it.

The point is to have a way of ignoring a folder by the app on Windows. Git does that with .gitignore, so aimp could have  .aimpignore for example. Would you consider implementing that?

Ok, I will think about that.
