Hello all, i have been using Aimp since years, but from some months i have this problem: when i double click on a song inside a Windows folder, it just start the Aimp GUI without play the song. Also if i drag and drop from the folder to the AIMP window, nothing happen.
I can only play playlists.

Are you running a program without the option to run as administrator in the shortcut/executable properties?

Before i had the 5.03, but just before post this question i have download and installed the latest one, 5.10 x64.
If i double click on the desktop icon, it start the not-admin mode, all is working except the drag and drop of a song.
If i double click on a song, it start again in not-admin mode but the song wont play.
If i force run with administration rights, it is not possible to drag and drop song.
If i force the exe in the root folder to auto start ever with admin rights, by double click on a song it start (with UAC confirmation) but again, the song wont play.
I can just play song inside playlists. Create a playlist, put song inside, then play. But is frustrating to do so if i just want to play a single mp3 one time only just for check what song is...

Hello, i have the exact same settings, but still don't work.
If i set to create a new playlist for file that i double click in a folder, AIMP just start without create it and without play.
If i set to add to a default playlist, is the same. But is i quit the app on playlist "music123" and i double click on a song, AIMP start and SELECT the playlist "default" but without add the song or even play it.
The only way i have to play song is to create a playlist manually, right click on it, add songs, and browse the path where song are. But this is soooo long process to just quick play one single song with a desktop double click ???
Edit: I remember that months ago was working great, this happen since 1 or 2 versions before 5.03 (currently i have 5.10 but the problem is still here)

Perhaps something was damaged in the associations. Try to completely remove the player (keeping the backup copies, the player folder), restart the PC, clean the registry from entries with the word AIMP, install the player again and set up associations.

I think i have found the problem...
If i remove the playlist "Default.aimppl4" inside "...\AppData\Roaming\AIMP\PLS" it works again (but i lost my old playlist). If i put back my old Default.aimppl4 inside the folder, again AIMP just open without play the song that i double click inside a folder
