Title: How to Set Up a Playlist in AIMP
Post by: raywood on January 23, 2022, 17:19:07
I just spent more than an hour attempting this simple task. My Google searches unfortunately led to no sources of guidance that seemed to be dealing with the problem I was encountering.

I decided to post a note here, partly to help those who have the problem I encountered, and partly as a suggestion for improvement of AIMP.

My blog post explains the problem I encountered and the solution I found. I'm not sure how to use the URL button in this composition window, but my post is at https://raywoodcockslatest.wordpress.com/2022/01/23/aimp/

The short answer was, I think, that AIMP would not play the default playlist until I selected a single song in that list. For some reason, that was the way to make the list come alive. I'm not sure, but I think that was the solution.

1. All items that shows below the (+) button in main menu are playlists names.
2. Queue is Winamp-like queue, it is like a playlist over playlists.
3. To start playing the list just tap on the song. The play button just pause/resume playback of currently playing file.

Anyway, thank you for your post. I see what moments to improve to simplify UI understanding for users who don't used old school players like Winamp.
