Title: Playlist Track Numbering
Post by: aj.fleet on December 12, 2021, 15:14:42
I have a question about the track numbers that appear in the playlist window. If I create a playlist of all tracks from one album, but remove a couple of unwanted tracks, the track numbering is incorrect. So for example the album has 12 tracks, but I remove tracks 3 and 7 from the playlist. What appears are sequential numbers 1 to 10, not 1 to 12 with 3 and 7 missing. I tried using the Managing Playlists/Show Track Number/Absolute Numeration options, but this does not seem to make any difference. Is there a way to show the actual track numbers from the original album rather than the track position within the playlist ?

You're talking about position in playlist not a track number.
To show the actual track numbers: Preferences / Playlist / Content view / Format settings. Use macro "%TrackNumber".
For example "[%TrackNumber] %Artist - %Title" or whatever you want
