Title: Playback speed
Post by: neuromatto on November 15, 2021, 10:09:04
Hi there,
I know I can change the playback speed manually from the DSP UI, but I would like to ask if there is any possibility to automate the process based on custom metadata.

The idea is to have the speed multiplier stored as metadata and tell AIMP player to use that for that track. If no multiplier in the metadata, then 1.00x is assumed as default.

Also, would that be possible via dedicated plugin?

Many thanks in advance,
Riccardo

Thanks Soolo, I have missed that.

However, other than being very, very old, that plugin does not do exactly what I need, which is: loading a speed multiplier (or a frequency delta and then do the math) calculated outside AIMP and stored in a custom tag (i.e. via Sonic Annotator, the Tuning VAMP plugin and some math) and then apply it to the track playback speed.

I guess I've got to develop my own :)

I have found the info about getting the tag value from the file, now I need to figure out what interface allows me to set and reset the playback speed before each file is played.
