Maybe problem is with Android auto. If AIMP is already running on phone and you plug phone into car, it will remember what track you were on. But if AIMP is not already running and you plug it into car, player does not remember what your current playlist position is. It will be track 1 for all playlists.

AIMP restores it state only if it started from via launcher icon. It need to prevent auto-player if service was started by external apps or system (sometimes Android starts the service just to take some info).
Any way, I will add the "resume playback" entry to head of the playlist.

I see Resume on playlists that were played before. When I click Resume, it says Getting selection but never starts playing. How long should I have to wait?

It should work without any delay. Please, refer to the "About" dialog of the app, and check the "enable logging" option. Now, reproduce an issue and send the log file to me.

I created playlist and stopped at track 2 (2.mp3). I exited AIMP. On Android Auto, I clicked "Resume playlist". Log is attached. I clicked Resume at about 12:24 pm.
Should I then have to launch AIMP on phone after clicking "Resume playlist" on Android Auto? If I did, it found the current track in playlist. But clicking "Resume playlist" on other playlists returned me back to the "Test" playlist track 2.
