Title: How to Prevent AIMP from Going Back Past Start of Playlist
Post by: raywood on May 19, 2021, 20:29:10
I have a playlist with songs A through Z.

I am playing the first song on the list -- say, America - Daisy Jane.mp3. It finishes and the next song begins to play. I hit the left arrow to go back to that America song again.

By accident, I hit the left arrow twice. Now AIMP is playing a Z song, like ZZ Top.

Is there a way to prevent it from doing that? I only want to return to the start of the list, no matter how many times I hit the left arrow.

It wouldn't be as much of a hassle, but there seems to be a bug in the program. Instead of returning to Z, it actually returns to W, and starts playing songs there, like Whitney Houston--Where Do Broken Hearts Go.mp3.

No, its not a bug, its just a cyclic navigation through playlist. This behavior cannot be disabled. Each click at previous / next track button moves playback cursor. So, if you don't to jump twice just do not click twice.

OK. There is no way to prevent it from reversing from A back to Z. Thank you for confirming.

You have misunderstood the other issue. The bug is that it doesn't go to Z. It goes to W with a single click.

Can you illustrate it via video? I cannot reproduce this behavior on my side...
