Title: 2 Basic questions

I just started using AIMP last week and overall I'm very pleased with the program overall.  However it's not very user intuitive.   what is the 3rd column on the far right side used for?  (confusing).

Also, does AIMP have the ability to attach cover art to MP3 files?  I attached some cover art to MP3 files using foobar 2000.  However, it's not showing in AIMP.

It's the column for playlist tabs.

Yes, with the Advanced Tag Editor utility (Ctrl+T), or the regular Tag Editor (in the playlist column, select the files you want to edit and hit F4).

OK - using the advanced tag editor, I have verified that the cover art has been attached properly.  However, the cover art does not appear in the middle section of my screenshot.

  • Is it a perfect square? For instance: 300x300 px, 400x400 px, 500x500 px, 650x650 px, 714x714 px, etc
  • Has it ".jpg" extension?
  • Its filesize is under 200 KB?

Per Soolo's suggestion, I "reloaded" the tags.  Not for all files, but just for the album in question.  Unfortunately, it did not fix the problem.

I stumbled upon a solution through my own efforts.  For anyone that has a similar problem you can try the steps below.

1) Select or highlight one of the tracks in the album. It doesn't matter which one.  Do it from the middle section in AIMP as shown in my original screenshot above.
2) Press F4
3) If you see the cover art there, it means it's been attached properly.
4) Click on Save.

Done.  Now you should see the cover art now for all of the files in the album provided that you tagged them the same way.
