Title: DSP Plugin PaceMaker plug-in for Winamp
Post by: mikethehike on February 03, 2021, 11:27:55
Hello,

I would like to use the PaceMaker Plugin for tempo control.

This plugin allows to reduce tempo without loosing qualitiy.

The Plugin can be downloaded at
https://www.surina.net/pacemaker/

When I use the DSP plugin - AIMP chaches and replays the music when I switch songs. Just a second long.

Can you help?
Mike

Hello,

I need a Tempo slider on the Interface not in the preferences.

An the plugin can do more percantage to slow down music.

Slider is placed in DSPManager window, not in Preferences. Our function provides an ability to control from 50% to 300%, is it too small range?

Hello,

the slider is to smal and the range for slow down ist not enough.

With pacemaker I have a big slider ... check it out ... i use it for a dance school and they need big sliders for use.

And pacemaker hold the sound quality when tempo slow down.

Hello,

I have asked the pacemaker-Plugin-Developer:

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your comments and sorry for slow reply.

I have not tested AIMP but if the plug-in otherwise works but changes affect after a long delay, then possible reason is that AIMP may pre-buffer audio between processing and playback. Such long buffering used to be necessary 20 years ago to avoid stuttering, but nowadays PCs are so fast that buffering isn't any more necessary.

Accordingly see if there's any audio buffering settings in the player or its decoders, and if there is then set that to shorter buffering duration.

best regards, Olli

Is there a possibility to change the buffering time?

Mike

Have you tried adjusting AIMP's cache size slider in Preferences->Playback?

Hello,

yes I have no Cache, no preloading.

But always when I change the song there remains a short repeat of the last half second of the sound.

There musst be a caching in AIMP ... winamp does this not.

Can a developer help?
