Title: Move to playlist?
Post by: markzzz on August 14, 2020, 18:40:09
Hi all,

Is it possible to have the function "Move to playlist"? Which will both save the selected track from the current playlist to another playlist and remove it from the current playlist.

This way I can organizer and catalog better my music.

I'll use this function on Android auto, while driving, cataloging my music :)

Or Is there the opensource code somewhere?
I'm a programmer, I could fork and implement it myself :)

Thanks

Player has this feature, but it unavailable from Android.Auto UI. No, our player is not open source.

In 4.70.2224, the context menu option "Send to other playlist" copies the entry to another list, but does not remove it from the original list after the copy.  Like markzzz I would support adding that option, and maybe changing their names to "Copy to other playlist" and "Move to other playlist."

Yes please, would be a nice feature.

What about to improve aimp for Android auto?
It lacks lots of feature, such as playlist management, favourites, scroll the song with cursor, and so on...

I cannot improve external application.
What do you mean "external application"?
If I open Spotify for example, I can scroll the song wherever I want, or add to favourites/ecc.

I think its depends by api no?

I'm also cataloging my music while driving and trying to find a player with extended controls in Android Auto. Looking forward to this feature in the official release.

I need an option to Favourite and Delete a track with minimal distrution from the road.

Like Google Play Music had: Likes and Dislikes. That allowed me to delete songs I didn't like in bulk later.
