Hello,
First of all, thanks for the program. Best audio player so far.
So I've been using the program almost 10 years - and in that time I've been rating songs. I mean a lot of songs. Few times I've endured and the list has reseted (once I was drunk and another time I changed computer), but this time might be the last time I can take the pain.
Today I updated the program from 3.6 to 4.0. Ratings were kept. But after I pressed that "synchronize user defined mark with tags of audio file", it started doing something. After a while 95% of all ratings just disappeared.
So can I reset? Is it possible to get the ratings back I made over the years?

Its so strange, because this function just save the rating marks to file tags, it does not change your rating in database.
What monitoring settings are used in music library?

Hello,
After the night, I got everything back. I was a bit shocked last night, today with clear mind I used the backup. I've been making this playlist for 5 years and I'm just so scared I'll lose it. Anyway it's back and I've now updated the program successfully to the latest version. The next thing is that I have to somehow move the list to my new computer. I will use the same roots with the music, that what I understood about this program -- anyway, what is the safest way? Should I simply copy this whole program and all the music (same path, etc.) or make a list somehow and transfer that with music + install the program?
And sorry that I wasted some of your time.

If paths to music files are same, you can just copy the app with all settings.

And one last time Hello,
Now I have changed computer and everything is working perfectly. There were times I didn't think so, but in the end everything just went fine.
So I don't need to start all over again. Now I also know in the future how this works. Probably never going to change the program because the list I've made is just too huge - also the program is excellent. Now it contains 35,000 songs that I have rated from 1 to 5.
Thanks for the program, once again.
Here's one song I added five stars. It is the right song for the moment as I feel great that everything worked in the end!
Battlestar Galactica - Reuniting the fleet.

Same for me. All my user ratings (which I've worked on FOREVER) disappeared.
I unchecked "Show rating instead of user defined rating, if user rating is not set."
- Like most features of AIMP, I have no idea how they work or what they do. Is there a help for each option?
- What's the difference between "user defined rating" and "rating"?
- How do I make a backup of the ratings, and how do I restore them?
