Title: Play files inside zip/7z archive
Post by: Azev on February 05, 2020, 17:38:16
Hey there!
Is it possible for AIMP to play files inside zip/7z archives?

I'm new at AIMP, I'm coming from xmplay. XMPlay is a tiny player and support that feature.

Is there a plugin that can make AIMP play audio files inside a 7z/zip archive?

What reason to archive the music?

Most audio formats these days are compressed itself (mp3, flac, aac, etc..) so they don't need to be (re)compressed.

The reason is for a zip/7z package of mod (http://"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOD_(file_format)"), xm (http://"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XM_(file_format)"), it, mid (http://"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIDI") formats. They are not compressed and in large ammounts they take up large disk space so I keep them in a compressed archive.
