Title: Aimp update
Post by: bones on August 31, 2019, 21:17:52
Just updated to the newest version of aimp v4.60

I noticed all the bars at the top (Artist, File name, Album, Bitrate etc ) have reset upon the new version being installed ?

Is there maybe a way to implement having them not reset when a new version is installed ?  It is a little annoying that I would have to re-do my columns after every update. Removing/adding the ones I had before as they all reset to default.

Just a little heads up. Great program otherwise. Thanks for all the work !

Cheers!

What exactly resets? What version you have before update?

Hi,

I was using the previous version... the one before 4.60. Cant remember the exact version number, sorry.

I mean the colomn bars at the top that shows what colomns are displayed in relation to the information of the media, like file name, artist, album, bitrate, duration etc

These get reset. New ones appear that I didnt have setup before and the rest dissappear completely and I have to right click and select from the list in order to get them back, and the order is changed too. So if i have a order such as : Artist, Track name, Duration. I would have to put them back myself, removing the ones that weren't there before and drag/drop the ones I want back left or right along the bar because all that personalization got reset when I updated yesterday.

It would suck if I had to do it every time an update was put out !

Cheers,

 Bones.

May be, your previous version was too old? I have tested settings compatibility with previous release only. So, in v4.60 I have tested compatibility with v4.5x only

Hi, I found an old thread I posted on here with a different question regarding aimp.

The version I was using before the update to 4.60 was AIMP v 4.51 build 2084.

Cheers.
