Title: MP3 info 22kHz instead of correct 44kHz
Post by: kvb on May 19, 2019, 15:31:21
Hi,

I'm a new AIMP user. (long term winamp user before)
I've noticed that the file information of a MP3 file is displayed incorrectly.
It shows it's a 22kHz instead of a 44kHz file.

Since i'm using the v4.60 Beta 5 build 2129 i thought let's report it, maybe it's something that can be looked at.

It's a file from soundcloud/itunes; Eelke Kleijn Days like Nights 079
https://soundcloud.com/eelke-kleijn

Direct link to the file (not sure if works):

Greetings

kvb,

Welcome to the forum!

Confirmed bug.

Some of my 44.1 kHz MP3 files are shown as 22 kHz and some others as 32 kHz.

It even shows 319 kbps instead of 320. :P

For whatever reason, I'm NOT seeing this (wrong sample rate) with build 2129 on any of my own MP3 playlists; using wasapi-exclusive output, Windows 7 SP1 OS.

However, the file provided by kvb does indeed show "22kHz" as the sample rate when I play it in AIMP, even though MediaInfo and other players verify it is indeed 44kHz.  ???

I've also seen 24kHz and 127kbps with some old 44kHz 128kbps files.

Wait I found one that i can share. See attachment.  :P
