Lyrics show up when you right-click a file on the playlist and choose "File Info" then select the Lyrics tab; or, if the file is playing, when you open the "Information Box".  If you want lyrics to be pulled out of a file folder, go to Prefs/Player/Additional Information/Lyrics and select "Find in file folder."
