Title: User plugins
Post by: Deide on February 03, 2019, 23:08:53
Would it be easy enough to add a folder called "user" in the plugins directory, into which we can put our own user plugins? Currently, user plugins and default plugins are mixed together, which makes it difficult to persist the user plugins when installing and updating portable installations.

Hi Deide, I use the portable AIMP, and have never had any problem with user-added plugins not "persisting" when doing an update using the built-in Update Checker.  They're all still there afterwards, along with the updated default plugins.  So, not sure what you are seeing.

The in-built updater works fine, yeah, but I update via other means. And I also symlink all persistent data to another location.

EDIT: The reason I do this is so that I have a central folder to back up for all persistent data/configuration across all my programs.
