If I may jump in.. ;)  Actually, this player is so complete now that I can think of only 3 personal wishes for the new version, listed in ascending order of "extreme-ness":

1.  A hot key setting for toggling the Information Box open/closed (one for Information Bar already exists)

2.  When Album Art is the selected visualisation, have the art automatically resized, keeping its aspect ratio, when the visualisation window is resized.

3.  A native VST host, so the need to use the buggy made-for-Winamp dsp_vst plugin is no longer required.

Other than that, I would just encourage 3rd-party skin authors to post project files so that the remarkable AIMP skin editor can be used to add any user tweaks, as is already done with the official AIMP Bliss 4k skin.

Thanks for a fine player.

Hello,
1. Improve sound engine.
2. I want use simple playlist with improvement changing playlist. My idea is bar in circle shape working like fly wheel. Fly wheel you moving by mouse wheel, when you moving mouse wheel faster then moving faster fly wheel with playlist. I can't reproduce that in picture.
3. I don't know what ypu can change, but last skin so boring, maybe some changes in skin editor.

Sorry, Aimp so perfect, I don't have good idea, but I remember You Artem have always good ideas. For sure You some discover make.

Best Regards,
Maciejak

I would like to see AIMP's default "Bliss" skin adapt according to the "Show waveform" setting if it's disabled. It would be nice if all skins which support this functionlity could addapt, but especially the main one since it's probably the most used skin. I made a mockup:

What you want to see in new version?

Artem,

Hello there!

If I may, I would like to ask you for a feature for any future, major release of AIMP for Windows: I would like AIMP's Tag Editor to save the same information from ID3v2 to ID3v1 automatically, when saving MP3 metadata, if this is technically possible.

Of course, I'm talking about the next fields only:
Quote
  • Track #
  • Title
  • Artist
  • Album
  • Genre
  • Date
  • Comment
The allowed quantity of characters for each field, whatever they are.

The reason for this request is that —as far as I remember— I have never saved different information on ID3v2 and ID3v1 —I have been saved the very same basic information on each ID3 version. I think most people have done the same way. So, I would like to know if there is a reason for keeping the Copy to… button, instead of copy the information from ID3v2 to ID3v1 automatically.

Thank you so much for reading!

This is default behavior for advanced tag editor, use it.

Yes, I know that is the default behaviour. But it is still manual. I mean, you need to click on the Copy to… button. Instead, I was thinking of filling in all the fields under ID3v2 and when clicking on the Save button, AIMP ATE save it to ID3V1 as well, automatically (i.e., without having to click on the Copy to… button first).

No, I talking about advanced tag editor, it save changes to all tag fields.

Yes, I'm talking about the AIMP's Advanced Tag Editor as well.

I just tried it. ATE won't copy fields from ID3v2 to ID3v1 automatically when clicking on the Save button. It is mandatory: you have to click on the Copy to… button before hand.

Looks like you misunderstood. Advanced Tag Editor opens via Main Menu / Utilities.
To copy fields from ID3v2 to ID3v1 automatically you need to edit fields in the "preview area" (the bottom of the main window of ATE).

Zhenya,

Hello!

Yes, I must admit I was wrong.

I called Advanced Tag Editor all my life to this:

Why? Because this is an "advanced" tag editor to me. Why? Because I can fill many more fields, even lyrics! :D And it is way easier to use when filling multiple files.

On the other hand, I can't call Advanced to this:

Why not? Because it is simpler, has fewer options and it is not convenient when working with several files. So, why we still call Advanced to this if it lacks a lot of basic / most useful / most used options actually? ???

You can press F4 (by default) in Advanced Tag Editor and in the window that opens, edit and the lyrics of the song and several files at once.

So, why we still call Advanced to this if it lacks a lot of basic / most useful / most used options actually? ???

For example, these features (completely) are not available in Quick Tag Editor (in player):

Also Quick Tag Editor can't edit multiple files at once, but Advanced Tag Editor can.
