Title: Feature Request: Playlist format compatible with SanDisk player
Post by: denagirl on July 15, 2018, 21:51:25
There are some good reasons to use an mp3 player instead of a phone (jogging, etc) however getting music onto one of these devices can be challenging. SanDisk requires that the playlist be in the same directory as the mp3 files and that all of the .mp3 references be without path information.
That seems simple enough. I have a “..\Music\mp3\playlistName” folder for each playlist anyway. However, I have found that most players do not support relative paths. The ones that do frequently expect all playlists to be in the same directory. Which means you have to change the players configuration each time you save a playlist if you need each playlist to be in a separate directory.
Anyway, it would be great if you would add support for relative paths when exporting a playlist, and if I could ask to convert a file reference like the following:
              *\Music\mp3\*\$fileName
            to:
                 $fileName
I would be very happy.

Somebody tell me why people save playlist into album folder? Is there any real case to use it?
Not a joke, I really don't understand.
