Title: REVERB function doesnt' seem to work
Post by: Docjon66 on December 01, 2017, 08:23:28
Used to be with just a slight increase, I'd notice the REVERB effect quite a lot.  Now I can slide it over to the end, and I hardly notice any change at all.  This has been going on through several revisions of AIMP3.  I kept hoping the next update would fix it. It hasn't.

Might be an issue with my sound hardware or Windows.  Hoping to get some ideas, as I'll just have to learn to live with it at this rate.  I got nothing else to try.

Win10Pro
12GB mem
Creative xmod usb sound device.  The on-board sound gave me fits, so I use a USB device.
HD space a-plenty.

Have any ideas?  Need more info, let me know!

Thanks for responding.

This has happened over the last several versions.  I'm currently using 4.50, build 2048.

What output settings are used (Options \ Playback and Options \ Playback \ Transform Options)?

I attached some screencaps, hope that helps.

EDIT:
Hey, thanks!  In looking at the information you asked for, I realized it was set for 5.1, when I only have a 2.1 speakers or headphones.  When I switched it to STEREO, that fixed the problem.

I appreciate the help.  That's not worked in ages.  My sound might improve a bit in general now, since it's putting out stereo signal to stereo speakers/headphones.

Also, thanks for writing a great MP3 player.  Been using it for about 10 years now!  I made my own skin, and it's one of the first things I put on every new Windows install.
