Title: Window title
Post by: Forecaster on August 15, 2017, 13:52:09
Is it possible to customize the window title similarly to the info bar/playlist titles?

The answer appears to be no. Could this feature be added?

I'm using the window title to get the currently playing song and would like the album included in that text.

No, it cannot be customized now.
I have moved your topic to suggestions board

I found the "copy current song info to clipboard" feature and I've made my script execute the hotkey and then get the contents of the clipboard if the selected window matches AIMP's window class, otherwise it'll use the window title (if the selected window is for example a browser window).

So it's not super critical anymore.

That said it's not ideal, because it requires executing a hotkey it interferes slightly with other programs. Getting the title would be a lot better since it is completely unnoticeable.

Turns out having something constantly overwrite the clipboard is pretty annoying... I'm going to go back to using the window title for now and hope it becomes customisable soon...

Something else that would work is AIMP simply updating a text file according to a pattern when the current song changes.

The script just grabs the title and writes it to a text file, which OBS then reads.
