Title: Playing playlists when opening them in Windows explorer
Post by: Utumno on November 22, 2016, 20:40:15
AIMP playlists can be played by double clicking on the playlists in Windows explorer, however in AIMP this does not play the currently existing playlist, it creates an identical new playlist with the same name and plays that instead. As a result, you can end up with a large number of identical cloned playlists cluttering up the playlist bar.
My suggestion for an improvement is to get AIMP to check if a playlist already exists in the program when opened, and if it does to play that playlist rather than creating a new one.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

What reason to import playlist from Windows Explorer again, if it alread imported to the player?

The reason I'd like to see this is because if you could re-open the playlist from windows explorer, I can also open them from the start menu. This would mean you could very quickly switch playlists even when AIMP is minimised to the system tray

AIMP does not store information about source file name that has been imported, so player don't know if importing playlist was already imported some time ago.
