On the latest build for Android sounds like there is audio aliasing issues as it is resampling. All my files are mp3 at 44100Hz. I don't think I can record audio on Android, but it is just like playing an 44100Hz file with the output set to 48000Hz in AIMP 3.00, not newer versions.

I'm using Android 5.1.1. Previous build didn't have this problem, and the files play well on other apps.

Update: Fixed with build 257

Oneplus One 64Gb CyanogenOS 12 (Android 5.0.2) + Sony SBH20. Подтверждаю, на последней сборке присутствует искажение звука, как будто какой-то звенящий шум посторонний, особенно заметно при прослушивании рок- музыки. Сначала грешил на эквалайзер прошивки, но после отката на Build 171 (27.02.2015) проблема исчезла

Эквалайзер включен? Какой пресет?

На включенном/выключенном эквалайзере все равно шум, пресет zero, остальные пробовал то же самое, некоторые просто этот шум сглаживают немного

1.01 (build 173) works fine. The problem started with 1.02 (build 174, the current file offered via Play Store as stable)

The problem is still there for 2.00 (224). The same as 1.02 (174).

I did some tests:

32000 Hz - distorted (low)
44100 Hz - distorted (very)
48000 Hz - no distortion
