Title: [Arch] Gaps between AIMP window and screen edges
Post by: Lutalli on December 20, 2025, 14:52:37
Hi,

I'm using AIMP on CachyOS with KDE Plasma (very glad there is now an official Linux build btw). Is there any way to remove these gaps between the AIMP window and screen edges (see attachment)? I would like the window to perfectly snap onto the screen edges. No matter how hard I try to stretch the window there's always a small gap.

This is by design. Linux don't allow window to place outside the visible area

Hi, thanks for the reply! But the gaps actually disappear when AIMP's window is maximized. Do things behave differently when the window is not maximized?

I believe that gap comes from the AIMP's client side shadows. So KDE thinks that its window is bigger than it actually is. So I guess fullscreen AIMP's window doesn't have that shadow.

Yep, that is correct
