Title: Error when importing settings file from other smartphone
Post by: pstein on May 31, 2025, 08:04:47
I exported the settings from AIMP for Android v4.15.1563 on my old Android 14 Samsung smartphone.
Then I copied this settings file to my new Android 16 Samsung smartphone.

When I imported this *.zip AIMP tells me at first as notification:

"Operation successfully completed. You can launch the app"

Then (immediately after start of AIMP) shows me:

"ERROR: Invalid stored block length"

and (3 seconds later):

"Skin error: Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream: Default skin will be applied"

Whats wrong?

I can open the *.zip file with a zip archiver without any problems. So the *.zip structure isn't corrupted.

As far as I remember I download and setup years ago a new skin for AIMP in the past.
But that shouldn't matter since all necessary stuff should be added to the exported settings file.

One related question:

The exported AIMP files is named with a prepended date like: "2025.05.31-AIMP.UserSettings.zip"
When I manually append the AIMP version like

2025.05.31-AIMP.UserSettings_v4.15.1563.zip

does that confuse the AIMP import procedure?

"Skin error: Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream: Default skin will be applied"

This is skin error, it does not related to backup archive.  It seems like selected skin in imported settings has been corrupted.

Yes
