On mobile I use AmtennaPod and it is flawless, I believe they have Fyyd, Apple and Podcastindex, but alas there is no good podcatcher for Windows (probably there are less and less podcast users on desktop) however I tend to listen to pdocasts while I work :)

Either I am missing something or you've misunderstood my question. I know there is a way to subscribe to a podcast if you know the RSS, but I am talking about browsing the catalogue and subscribing to a podcast FROM WITHIN THE AIMP via API, so that I don't need to search for the RSS every time, just the name of the podcast should be enough
Also the ability to TAG them by subject would be nice
I don't see any way of doing it, unless I am missing something, then Mea Culpa.

AIMP does not have this ability. AIMP just follow to your subscribed podcast feeds.

Yes therefore I am asking if it would be posible to add it, the main reason behind it is, that it allows you to discover podcasts by keyword (subject). Without it, one has to dig up multiple sites to discover whether a podcast on say English Grammar exists or not, with this functionality it is enough just to type a word
