Title: More control over selected/playing track states
Post by: xeo on December 26, 2024, 13:29:40
The selected track in the playlist (and selected playlist in the playlist list) is always more visible than the one currently playing because the background is used.
I think the currently playing track is more important to be visible than the selected.
Add possibility/more control over these states so we can change it in skin editor (like dashed frame, disabling the background, enabling background in played track, changing font color).

It was my initiative to make an "outline" for the track being played (it can be done differently). The playlist uses a texture with 9 frames and that is enough (it is possible to do without a texture, using only colors). Why I did it this way is because the standard implementation (Charm) with an accent color of the font of the track being played is poorly visible (my opinion, and I was asked to do it to be honest). It is possible to do it the other way around (outline on the selected/highlight the background with color on the track being played), but then it will not be possible to repeat it in the audio library, since there is no texture with frames. I hope I understood your idea.

This is good/better, I would leave it.

Can you show how it would look like?

You mean there would be no such selection in library?
