Currently, AIMP prioritizes displaying a soundfile's embedded album art over external (loose JPG/PNG) album art. This is not a problem when the embedded image is higher quality than the external image or when there are no external images in the folder at all, but a problem presents itself when there is a higher quality album art image present in the folder, as AIMP will still choose to display the lower quality embedded one. Currently, the only workaround consists of disabling the "Find in file tags" option while keeping "Find in file folder" enabled under Preferences>Player>Additional Information. Unfortunately while this workaround makes it so that external album art is displayed whenever available, it also entirely disables the display of embedded album art, meaning that no artwork whatsoever will be displayed when opening an audio file with no external album art present in the same folder, even if said audio file has embedded album art.
In short: Can we please have an option to prefer external album art, thus only showing embedded album art if no external album art is present?
Thanks a lot!

The second option is to fix your tags, remove embedded images

Indeed, but surely you understand checking for cover art on thousands upon thousands of files (it'd have to be done manually since I'd have to pick out which files/albums need it and which don't) is neither quick nor easy. My rationale is this: If the user went out of his way to get higher quality album art to put in that album's folder, then please give us an option to let it take precedence. Hopefully the developers consider it.
