Hi Artem (or anyone who knows the answer to the following question).
What causes aimppl4 playlist files to be saved with a '~' in front of them?
(See attached file explorer screenshot.)
Is there any way to stop these files from being created?
I have around 9 instances of AIMP running at once (using the /DEBUG switch), each one streaming a different radio station, and each one muted. I then simply unmute the particular station I wish to listen to when a song I like is played.
I have the station playlist saved as an aimppl4 file called "RADIO'24".
I also have two other playlists of songs on my hard drive that I can switch to when I want to listen to one of these songs rather than a radio station stream.
In order to prevent the playlist files from being overwritten, I mark the aimppl4 files as Read Only.
However, what happens is that AIMP (randomly?) creates copies of these files, adding the "~" to the beginning of the file name.
It also regularly appends (<number>) to the end of files it creates.
What causes these additional aimppl4 files to be generated? Is there any way of stopping their creation?
Note that in the Preferences->Playlist dialog, I have unchecked
Save playlist "Default"
and
Save queue at application exit
... But neither of these options seem to prevent the additional aimppl4 files from being created.
Is there another setting I can change to prevent their creation?
TIA,
Ivan.
